Psychologist Services and Fees

Psychotherapy and Consultation
Typically, the initial session is a 50-minute consultation appointment in which possible treatment options and goals are discussed. Therapy sessions are usually scheduled thereafter, though occasionally this consultation will lead to being referred to other resources. Couples sometimes use this session for a "check-up" on their relationship to decide whether couple therapy would be useful.

Relationship Education
Dr. Rhoades also offers relationship education for premarital, dating, or cohabiting couples to learn the basics of maintaining happy relationships or for married couples who would like a short course on communicating more effectively. These courses are offered on an individual basis and are tailored to a couple's schedule and needs. They typically include three to five 50-minute sessions.

Fees and Billing
The regular fee for a 50-minute meeting is $125. A sliding fee scale may be available; please call for details. Dr. Rhoades does not bill health insurance companies directly, but can easily provide invoices for therapy sessions. Often, clients can then be reimbursed by their insurance or Flexible Spending or Health Savings Accounts.
